New Autumn Wardrobe? No, a Better One

September is the perfect time for a reset; the kids are back at school and you can finally return to a routine that isn't interrupted by "Mum, what shall I have for lunch?"

We've been lucky this year, with a long hot summer that isn't quite done yet. I'm even stretching out the holiday feel good factor with a daily dusting of bronzer on the cheeks and fake tan on the legs. That's the thing about September, yes the evenings are drawing in, but it's still mild out and you're feeling healthy - in short, it's so much better than January.

However, there's no denying that autumn is on the way and anxiety about those bagfuls of winter layers may already be creeping in. I know the feeling; excitement quickly turns to disappointment when you unearth bobbly sweaters, trousers that don't look quite right or boots that feel restrictive after months of sandals and flip flops. And maybe your taste has changed, or perhaps your shape or lifestyle is different now. Even the slightest shift can prompt the familiar "I've got nothing to wear!" - we've all been there.

But before you rush out to buy a whole new autumn wardrobe, stop.

You might not actually need a whole new wardrobe, you might simply need a better one. An autumn winter wardrobe that works for your life right now. Pieces that fit well, colours that brighten your face and outfits you can throw together in minutes without wasting precious time throwing clothes all over your bedroom.

That's where a wardrobe edit makes such a difference. Together we'll go through what you already own, work out what you really love and which pieces earn their place. We'll create new outfits you probably hadn't even considered, using pieces you may not have known what to do with. Then, we'll identify what's genuinely missing from your selection. That way you'll approach any shopping trips with a plan, rather than buying things that end up unworn and without a purpose.

This September don't just buy more. Reset, reassess and rediscover your style. You don't need a whole new wardrobe, you need a wardrobe that works for you. If you're ready to make getting dressed easier, quicker and more enjoyable this autumn, I'd love to help.
